Instructions for drawing, editing, organising, and preserving projects with weave-svg.
Start with a blank artboard, a preset size, or an SVG file. You can also embed PNG, JPEG, and WebP images from your device.
Use selection, shapes, text, pencil, and pen tools. Drag handles to transform objects and switch to nodes to refine paths.
The small arrow beside a tool opens related tools. Common shapes includes basic shapes, arrows, flowcharts, callouts, and ribbons. Edit nodes converts rectangles, ellipses, and polygons into paths. Select a node to add or delete nodes, choose corner, smooth, or symmetrical nodes, and convert segments into lines or curves. Drag handles to adjust curvature; hold Alt to move a handle independently.
Add a page with the + button beneath the artboard. The Layers panel lets you duplicate, rename, reorder, and delete pages and layers. New objects belong to the active layer. Use destination selectors to move objects between pages and layers, or drag an object in the list onto a layer. Hide or lock a layer to protect its contents.
Select an object and choose Interactive gradient: drag its endpoints to change direction and spread. Choose colors and a linear or radial fill in Properties. With Interactive shadow, the square controls the offset and the diamond controls blur. Each adjustment can be undone.
Group, align, and arrange objects. The Layers panel controls names, visibility, locking, and stacking order.
Download SVG to preserve vectors or PNG, JPEG, and WebP for an image. Export the weave-svg project to continue editing it.
The arrow selects and transforms objects. Node selection edits path points. Shapes, text, pencil, and pen tools create new elements; a drag below the minimum threshold is ignored to prevent accidental objects.
Right-click, or touch and hold, opens relevant actions. Properties change with the selection and accept only values supported by the object.
A weave-svg project preserves the editable scene and embedded resources. SVG retains shapes and paths; PNG, JPEG, and WebP produce a raster image at the chosen size.
Projects and versions belong to the browser profile. After offline preparation you can keep working without a connection, but you should still download backups of important work.
